ok I found it... I think lol! or let me word it this way, I found a version and as of the current moment it's working... tommorrow is a different story, it may decide to crash my computer again... lol

Which one did you find. It should be version 3.63.

Even if you did find it, there's no way in the world that it would work. Microsoft has set it so that you can only log in using the current version of messenger, which is windows live messenger 8.1. Sorry you did all that searching for something that won't work.

Oh yes you can. msn 7.5 works under compatibility mode. I'm still using it.

Oh really? now that's interesting, I didn't know it still worked under compadibility mode, pretty cool! The way Microsoft was talking, you couldn't log in there with anything less than 8.1. Thanks for the tip.
